Practical, personalised support with CVs, applications and interviews, giving you the confidence and preparation to put your best foot forward.

I'm Marie Green, founder of Marie Green Consultancy, with over a decade of experience helping people prepare for the world of work. My background spans mental health support, specialist employment programmes and further education, giving me a genuinely rounded understanding of the barriers people face when entering or returning to employment.
I have spent several years working directly with people with learning disabilities, autism and other neurodivergent conditions, supporting them to build workplace confidence and secure employment. Since then I have worked in further education designing and delivering employability programmes for thousands of learners, including those with SEND and SEMH needs.
I hold an MSc in Psychology and am trained in Systematic Instruction, a structured, evidence-based approach particularly effective for neurodivergent learners. I understand what employers are looking for, I know what makes applications stand out, and I am here to help you present yourself with confidence and authenticity.
When I'm not working, you'll find me being bossed around by Charlie, my very spoilt dog, or attempting to keep up with three rabbits, three cats, and a mischievous rat who always seems to be planning something. In my downtime I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and a self-confessed Marvel obsessive, though if you ask me, Spider-Man is in a league of his own. Life is never dull and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Every session is tailored to your needs, your pace, and your goals. No templates, no generic advice, just focused, practical support.
We'll craft a CV that tells your story compellingly, highlighting your strengths and framing your experience in a way that resonates with employers.
Tackling long, complex application forms can feel overwhelming. Together we'll break them down and write responses that genuinely stand out.
A powerful personal statement can open doors. I'll help you find your voice and articulate why you're the right person for the role.
Practice in a safe, supportive environment. We'll cover common questions, technique, managing anxiety, and what to do when you don't know the answer.
Not sure where to start? We'll explore your interests, skills, and aspirations to map out a realistic and exciting path forward.
Support around disclosure, reasonable adjustments, and communicating your needs to employers in a way that feels comfortable and empowering.
Live online workshops open to everyone. Small groups, practical takeaways, and a safe space to ask anything.
Cut through the overwhelm. Learn how to structure a CV that plays to your unique strengths, handles employment gaps confidently, and gets past automated screening software (ATS filters) that many employers use before a human even sees your application.
Practical strategies for managing interview nerves, staying focused under pressure, handling unexpected questions, and showing your best self on the day.
Know your rights, find your voice. A practical guide to when and how to disclose a disability or neurodivergent condition, what to ask for, and how to talk to employers about your needs.
Can't make the live date? Recordings available to purchase after each session.
Getting started is easy. There's no pressure and no commitment required for our first conversation.
A relaxed, no-obligation 20-minute chat to understand where you are and what you're hoping to achieve.
Together we create a personalised plan, at your pace, focused on your specific goals and needs.
Regular one-to-one virtual sessions working through each element of your journey, at a pace that suits you.
Walk into interviews with confidence, submit standout applications, and take your next step feeling fully prepared.
My role is to equip you with the tools, confidence and preparation you need to succeed. The journey is yours and I'm here to make sure you're ready for it.
"I was passionate about working in a kitchen but my severe nut allergy made it feel like an impossible dream. Every door seemed closed before I'd even had a chance to knock. Marie helped me work through the challenges, stay persistent and find a way forward that worked for me. I ended up with work experience and bank employment at a prestigious local hotel. I genuinely didn't think it was possible and I'm so glad I didn't give up."
"I'd been out of work for 15 years after being made redundant and I only ever had one job my whole career. I left school at 14 and had dyslexia and learning difficulties, so I was convinced no one would want me. Marie helped me see the value in everything I'd done over the years and identify skills I didn't even know I had. I landed a warehouse role that suits me perfectly and I couldn't be happier."
"I knew I wanted to work in hospitality but had absolutely no idea where to start. Further education wasn't for me and an apprenticeship wasn't what I wanted either. Marie helped me find a path that actually worked for me and my situation. I'm now working in a busy cafe environment which I absolutely love. It's fast paced, it keeps me on my toes and it's exactly where I'm supposed to be."
"I was going through a really difficult time personally and needed to find work urgently. Marie helped me stay focused, identify what I actually wanted and map out what I was genuinely good at. I secured a grounds maintenance role at a local school which has since grown to include indoor maintenance too. It changed everything for me at a time when I really needed it to."
Whether you need a one-off boost or want to work through the full process together, there's a package to suit where you are right now.
All sessions are fully confidential. Reduced rates available, please ask.
Looking to support a group of people preparing for employment? I offer tailored workshops for organisations, colleges, community groups and charities. Get in touch to discuss your needs and I'll put together a package that works for you.
Not at all. You don't need a formal diagnosis. If you've always found job-seeking challenging for reasons you can't quite explain, that's enough. My support is open to everyone.
All sessions are held virtually via Zoom or Teams, meaning I can work with anyone across the UK. Many clients find this removes the stress of travel and makes it easier to show up consistently.
Sessions are usually 60 minutes, though I can offer 45 or 90-minute sessions if that works better for you. We'll always go at your pace, there's no rushing.
That's exactly what the free discovery call is for. We'll have a relaxed chat, and I'll suggest what might be most helpful for you. There's zero pressure and no commitment required.
Absolutely. Employment gaps are extremely common. We'll work together to address this positively and frame your experience in the best possible light.
Yes. I believe this kind of support should be accessible to everyone. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch and we can discuss what's possible. I have a limited number of reduced-rate slots available.
Book your free, no-obligation discovery call and let's talk through where you are and how I can help. Once you get in touch I'll send over a short registration form so I can get to know a little about you, your background and what you're hoping to achieve before we speak. No pressure, no commitment. I aim to respond within 24 hours.
